After Your Free Consultation: What to Do in the First Week

By RadiantContours Medspa | November 2, 2026

My biggest rule after our 10-minute Free Consultation is simple: get your recommended plan and timeline in writing, then follow that plan exactly. Don’t rely on memory, and don’t add your own prep steps because you saw them online. If you’re coming in from Loganville or driving the Athens Highway corridor, this keeps things easy and prevents last-minute surprises.

After Your Free Consultation: What to Do in the First Week at RadiantContours Medspa in Loganville GA

Quick reality check: a consultation is planning, not a procedure. Most “aftercare” this week is really prep for your next appointment, plus keeping your info up to date so I can guide you safely.

In the first 24–48 hours: lock in your plan and your appointment

Right after your Free Consultation, I want you to do two things while everything is fresh.

  1. Confirm the recommendation in writing. That means the treatment name, how many sessions I suggested, and the spacing between them. If there was anything I asked you to avoid beforehand, write that down too.
  2. Schedule the next step if you’re ready. Spots go faster than people expect, especially when family schedules fill up. A quick follow-up before or after errands along Athens Highway tends to be the easiest way to keep momentum.

What I generally want you to avoid doing “just in case”

Because a consultation is a planning visit, you usually don’t need to change your routine immediately. The most common mistake I see is people making big changes on their own before they even schedule treatment.

  • Don’t start or stop supplements or medications without talking with the prescribing clinician. If I asked you to pause something before a procedure, I’ll be specific and I’ll tell you why.
  • Don’t book a sun-heavy weekend and then plan a sun-sensitive procedure right after. Loganville’s humid subtropical weather means UV exposure sneaks up on you even on “cloudy” days.
  • Don’t assume online advice applies to your plan.

Your first-week checklist (this is what keeps results on track)

If you do nothing else this week, do this. It takes a few minutes, and it saves a lot of back-and-forth later.

  • Keep a clean list of meds and supplements. Include pain relievers, fish oil, vitamin E, pre-workouts, and any “fat burner” type products. Bring it to your treatment appointment.
  • Note allergies and sensitivities. Skincare reactions, adhesive sensitivity, latex, anything you already know about your body.
  • Take baseline photos if we’re tracking body changes. Same lighting, same angle, same time of day. This matters for body contouring progress more than people expect.
  • Protect your skin from the sun. Even if you’re not getting a laser procedure, consistent sunscreen and avoiding tanning makes almost every aesthetic plan easier to time.
  • Tell me if anything changes. New medication, new pregnancy status, recent illness, or a sudden flare of a condition. I’d rather adjust your timeline than push forward and regret it.

Scheduling tip for busy weeks: If you’re juggling school and sports, evening and weekend slots are often the easiest way to stay consistent without rearranging your whole calendar.

The habits that make your next appointment smoother (sun, alcohol, workouts, and hydration)

Most first-week “rules” depend on what we decided together. Still, there are a few habits that tend to help across the board, especially if you’re planning something time-sensitive.

Sun and heat

If you’re planning a sun-sensitive treatment, I’ll usually tell you to avoid tanning and sunburn. In Loganville, humid days still come with strong sun, so build sunscreen into your week and don’t plan “just a quick tan” because it can delay your timeline.

Alcohol and inflammation

I generally recommend keeping alcohol light in the day or two before many procedures because it can increase dehydration and sometimes swelling.

Exercise after the consultation

After a consultation, you can typically go right back to your normal workout routine. If you’re scheduling something that bruises easily or is heat-sensitive, I might ask you to adjust workouts right before the procedure, not after the consult. When in doubt, message me and I’ll give you a clear yes or no for your exact plan.

Paperwork, photos, and the “don’t forget this” list before you come back

If you’ve ever searched “med spa near me” and felt overwhelmed by options, this is the part that makes your care feel simple. I keep it straightforward, and I want you to keep your side straightforward too.

  • Save anything I gave you. Screenshots are fine. A notes app is fine. Just keep it in one place.
  • If we talked about body contouring, keep your measurements consistent. Same tape, same spot, same day of the week.
  • Bring a list of questions you didn’t ask in the moment. People think of the best questions later, usually in the car or at home.
  • Plan your timing around life. I see clients from Loganville, Grayson, Snellville, Lawrenceville, Monroe, and Social Circle, so I’m used to helping you pick a schedule that doesn’t fight traffic or family routines.

When to reach out to me (and when it’s totally normal to have questions)

If you’re unsure about prep, don’t guess. I’d rather answer a quick question than have you show up for an appointment that needs to be rescheduled.

"She was extremely informative, took her time explaining everything in detail, answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood the process before starting anything."

One of our first-time visitors

Reach out right away if: your health status changes, you start a new medication, you think you might be pregnant, you get a significant sunburn right before a sun-sensitive appointment, or you’re not sure if something you’re taking is a blood thinner.

And if you’re ready to move forward, I’ll help you pick the next best step. Either way, you won’t be rushed. You’ll leave knowing what you’re doing and when you’re doing it.
